Saying Goodbye to Vintage Vogue

One of my favorite sets on the retiring list is Vintage Vogue. I really like the distressed floral images and the how all the images are so useful...I'll certainly be keeping this set in my collection. I made this card for a good friend of mine who just had her birthday.

I stamped the Crumb Cake background using the Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel, which amazingly enough didn't end up on the retiring accessories list (or did I miss it?) I hope not, because I use that one a lot!

Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Apothecary Art (sentiment) & Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel
Card stock: Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy & Very Vanilla
Ink: Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Not Quite Navy & Certainly Celery
Accessories: Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon, Boho Blossoms Punch & Basic Pearls

Have a wonderful weekend!

This is stunning Lynn! It caught my eye on Pinterest and I've added to my "Better than Hallmark" board. ♥ Happy Stamping!

LOVE THIS!! I didn't find your blog until after I CASED this card, and I couldn't figure out which stamp set you used for the sentiment. *head slap* Of course!!! And wouldn't you know I had it too, but wound up using something else.

How did you do the flowers?? I tried several techniques and none turned out as blended (like water color) as yours did. I'd really like to know your secret!

Hi Jeannie, I just commented on your blog to answer your question, but thought I'd post here as well in case anyone else wondered...

I used the rock 'n roll technique to ink my flowers. I 1st inked images using Baja Breeze and then R'nRed the edges in NQNavy ink pad. I love this technique for solid images.
